BioName: Trucy Wright Age: 15 Non-Spoilery Background: Trucy Wright is Phoenix Wright's adopted daughter from Apollo Justice. Her father was a magician who disappeared, leaving her without family at eight years old. Phoenix took her in, and she's been living with him and helping him cheat at poker ever since. Trucy manages Phoenix's former law office, first as the Wright Talent Agency and later as the Wright Anything Agency (Now Defending). In the past year, a young defense attorney by the name of Apollo Justice has begun to work for the agency, and Trucy tends to accompany him on cases and offer her assistance when she can. Trucy is also a very skilled and popular magician with her own show. Complete, Very Spoilery Background [Highlight to Read]: When Trucy was born, Troupe Gramarye was the most famous and skilled troupe of magicians in the world. Magnifi Gramarye, the founder of the troupe and Trucy's grandfather, was extremely talented not only at complex and amazing magic acts, but also at 'perceiving,' the Gramarye family talent which allows Gramaryes to pick up on body language and physical tells when they focus in order to determine a person's true thoughts. Under Magnifi, the troupe was composed of Magnifi's daughter Thalassa Gramarye and his two disciples, whose stage names were Zak and Valant Gramarye. Both Zak and Valant fell in love with Thalassa over time, but eventually Thalassa chose Zak (also known as Shadi Enigmar off stage), and the two of them had a daughter, Trucy Enigmar. Trucy grew up watching Troupe Gramarye perform and developing her own skills as a magician, and by a young age she was already extremely talented. However, Trucy's young life was marred with tragedy. The first tragic event was when, during the course of a magic act in which Zak and Valant would shoot Thalassa with pistols, the trick went wrong and Thalassa was shot. In order to protect the troupe, Magnifi covered up the accident, and Thalassa was presumed to be dead. Trucy was spared the gruesome details, and was instead told that her mother had disappeared for a trick and wasn't able to get back. A few years later, tragedy struck again. Magnifi was diagnosed with lung cancer, and chose to end his life. In order to determine which of his students would receive the rights to his act and become the new troupe leader, he sent letters to Zak and Valant requesting that they kill him, and used their responses as a gauge. When Zak shot a clown statue in the forehead instead of Magnifi, thus following instructions while refusing the kill, Magnifi named him his successor and then committed suicide. However, Valant was extremely jealous at not being chosen, and rearranged the scene in order to frame Zak for murder. At the end of a long and difficult trial, Zak was found guilty, but rather than be sent to prison, he performed a final disappearing act with the help of eight year old Trucy. Trucy was happy to help her father escape, but after the escape she was left alone, without any family remaining to take care of her. Fortunately for the young girl, her father's attorney Phoenix Wright agreed to look after her. Phoenix had just been disbarred due to events of the trial, but with Trucy's encouragement he was able to get back on his feet and become a terrible pianist and an excellent poker player. Trucy immediately came to look on Phoenix as her father (calling him daddy within minutes of him agreeing to take her in), and took control of things. She formed the 'Wright Talent Agency' to represent herself and her adopted father in Phoenix's old law office. Trucy continues to perform as a talented magician, and helps pay the rent with her popular magic act at the Wonder Bar. She also helps Phoenix win his poker matches by using her Gramarye skill at perception to call opponents' bluffs. Trucy and Phoenix's lives continued in this way until one day, when Trucy was 15, her father returned to challenge Phoenix to a poker match as the mysterious traveler Shadi Smith. He was promptly murdered before Trucy could see him again, although he left her the rights to Magnifi's magic act. Phoenix was accused of the murder, and during the course of the trial, Trucy and Phoenix came to meet a rookie defense attorney named Apollo Justice. Apollo shared Trucy's skill at perception, but even moreso due to the power given to him by his bracelet. Apollo cleared Phoenix of the crime, caught the real killer, and eventually joined the newly named Wright Anything Agency as the agency's defense attorney. In his next few cases, Trucy joins him as an assistant in court and in investigations. It's a busy life, being a pro-magician/assistant to an attorney/high school student, but Trucy manages it well and quite enjoys her life. Trucy is post Apollo Justice, though, and despite her cheerful nature, the last case was difficult on her. Even though she hadn't seen him for seven years, her father's death was hard on her, and quite a few painful memories from the past were brought up. Still, she is glad her father has been cleared of the misconduct that lost him his attorney's badge and is considering taking the bar again. Phoenix has also recently discovered that Apollo is Trucy's long-lost half-brother and their mother Thalassa is still alive, but Trucy is unaware of all of this.
