If it's Tanabata again, then does that mean it's been longer than a year? Um...

Okay, I just checked, and there's another two weeks to go. Which means someone sure jumped the gun on Tanabata! But still, it's hard to believe it's been that long, huh? And so many people have come and gone, like Minako leaving and Misa coming, or Mr. Gavin leaving and daddy and Mr. Edgeworth leaving and coming back... Oh, and Kid and Mr. Shinigami weren't here when I came, either. It's kind of weird, when you think about it.

But that's not the weirdest part! If it's been a whole year, you know what that means?

It means I missed my own birthday! I probably turned sixteen and never remembered, and no one even gave me any presents. Unless my birthday is in the next two weeks, that's really unfair!

...So it's settled. My birthday is officially July 11! Make sure to get some really great presents, because sixteen is an important birthday, too, okay? Mr. Edgeworth, I know exactly the present you should give me! Here's a hint: it's something I'm allowed to do now that I'm sixteen, and I'm not going to be lazy and never learn how like some daddies I know!

Also, since it's my birthday, a really handsome boy should ask me to the ball.

Speaking of all that, it's pretty funny to see how everyone used to be or how they turned out, huh? Which is why we definitely have to have a little competition. I am now accepting nominees in the categories of:

Okay, here's what I've been thinking, about roommates. Sometimes it's a real pain to have one, when you just want to be alone and stuff. But on the other hand, now that Minako's gone, I realized that sometimes it's a real pain to not have one because being alone is actually pretty boring. Don't tell him I said this, but Mr. Hat's sometimes a pretty boring conversationalist.

But back to the first hand, well...maybe I just miss Minako, right? She was a pretty good roommate, and really nice. There's so many ways a roommate can go wrong. Like, maybe they're unfriendly, or they don't like being woken up in the morning to magic tricks or they always want everything to be totally symmetrical or something. And then you're in a real mess! So that's why I decided! Rather than leave it up to chance, I'll be holding...

Anyway, I'm feeling a lot better this morning. It must have just been all that cold weather making me feel sick. You guys were all pretty sweet, looking after me like that.

I've got some work to do to get caught up with school, but I missed all of you. We should do something fun to make up for lost time!

Well...I'm sure it doesn't matter much when everyone else has so much to be doing (and I'd better be working on my act!), but I did remember something that some people might want to hear!

Did you know that Polly really is a lawyer, and he really is named Apollo Justice? He even had three real life famous clients all at once! A famous pianist, a talented magician, and a world-renowned noodle chef all in one day! That's Polly for you, getting cases and solving the mysteries so quickly it's almost like he was the one who committed the crimes!

Now if only he could resolve the case of the Vanishing Panties here the way he solved the Mystery of the Mysterious Noodle Stand back home.

Oh, yeah, and Wocky was there, too. It's kind of exciting when you realize you really knew people back home, right? Next I'll find out Kid was the culprit who snatched my panties!

Oh, and by the way, I have an announcement! I'm quitting my day job, and from now on, Trucy Wright will be doing weekly Saturday night shows at the theater. Tickets are $5 at the door, but you can reserve seats for a large group in advance. I'm also available for private contract for parties and special events! Just talk to me about rates and we can work something out.

I'm postponing this weekend's show, though. I haven't had time to come up with any great two person tricks just yet, and it seems a little unfair to charge $5 a head for a two-headed person.

So...I've been doing a lot of thinking, but...I'm still having trouble figuring out the right thing to do. This isn't the kind of decision you can make lightly, I guess! So, um, help me out, you guys?

For my first show, I think it went really well! What did you guys think? Be honest! The rabbit out of the hat trick was maybe a little bit rusty...but Magnifi just needs to learn not to hop away into the audience after he gets pulled out. The actual magic part worked fine, right?

What was the best part? I liked the amazing teleportation trick, but Mokona was a really good volunteer, so...

Anyway...thanks so much for coming, everyone who came. It really means a lot! And if you missed it, I'll definitely be doing plenty more shows in the future.

Oh, also! Just in time for my show, I remembered something really great! Troupe Gramarye, the most famous and talented magical troupe in the world, and I'm a member of it!

It broke up when I was really little, though. But it'll probably come back some day. For now, though, I think I'll do magic as Trucy Wright, not Trucy Gramarye. The tricks are mine, not Grandpa's, after all. But he sure had some amazing tricks! If I could figure them out...

I know you said it isn't okay to have a tiger, but would it be all right to apply for the position of an animal tamer? It looks a lot more interesting than the job I have now!

Since Phoenix has one on the magatama, Trucy might as well, too.

Apollo Justice doesn't have a magatama that can show you psyche-locks. So how do intrepid lawyers find out the truth in the later series? Why, by being very very good at poker, of course! Trucy and Apollo both have the ability to perceive, which basically means that they are especially, perhaps even magically sensitive when it comes to seeing physical tells.

( TL;DR Explanation with as little spoiler as possible involved )

Long story short, Trucy can tell when you lie to her, but the skill isn't very reliable. It will never be a plot impediment, because if her perceiving doesn't work for your plot, then it's all too easy for me to say that she just wasn't triggered for whatever reason. However, if you would like Trucy to notice something for plot purposes, drop me a line here, on AIM, at my contact post, wherever. I'd prefer you talk to me, since what sets this skill off is kind of tricky, and I'd rather not have it used too often. Also, Trucy would sometimes press the issue, but she's also aware that everyone has secrets.

Still, if your character is someone who talks to Trucy a lot and you think they might have a tell that gets used frequently, please take this time to let me know what it is so I can either assume she's noticed or have it be kind of bothering her without fully catching on.

I hope everyone had a good Christmas! I had a really good one, and now I have a dad and a bunny! I still haven't decided what to name her yet, though. My bunny, I mean. My dad already has a name~

I don't know if Thanksgiving is a holiday all of you have where you're from, but it's pretty simple. Don't worry, the turkeys will explain everything.

Um. The main thing about Thanksgiving, though, is you get together with your family and eat a yummy meal. Well, my family isn't here, but I think that's okay. Everyone here's been so nice that I think it'll be just as nice to spend Thanksgiving with all of you.
